ALWAYS MOVE FORWARD ORIGIN, AND LEGACY

     Always Move Forward carries forward the experience, relationships, and lessons John “Tig” Tiegen developed through his previous work with Beyond the Battlefield, including bringing veterans together through programs and events such as Warrior Weekend. 

     That work demonstrated the importance of direct assistance, real community, peer connection, and standing beside veterans and their families when traditional systems fail them. Always Move Forward was created to build upon that experience, expand the mission to include first responders and their families, and establish an independent organization capable of serving people for generations. 

     Always Move Forward is not merely an event or fundraising organization. It is the continuation and growth of years of hands-on service, advocacy, community building, and commitment to ensuring that no warrior should have to fight alone. 

     Always Move Forward was intentionally built to be better, stronger, and more effective than what came before. Its governance, financial controls, culture, systems, and leadership structure are designed so the organization does not rise or fall with one person. It must be able to survive leadership changes, preserve its mission, and continue serving future generations.
